About the Bally Community Center

The Bally Community Center is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide a haven for the kids of the area to come and have some good clean fun, play games, sports or just relax. Christian owned and run, the BCC is based on Christian principles of relating to one another in conduct, word, and attitude.

We want to provide good influences for the young people who attend, preparing them to be well rounded individuals, emotionally and physically. It is our desire to see each of the youth become the best person they can be.

There is a director and staff that interact with the youth and provide leadership and oversight while they are in the building with us. The center's primary support comes from the Bally Mennonite Church and the United Way, along with donations from other area groups and businesses.

Along with our youth activities, we have an annual fundraising golf tournament each spring. Other activities, geared to adults, include basketball and volleyball.

The Bally Community Center is open during the school year, to kids in 6th grade through age 20!

We are located at: 215 Main Street in Bally, PA.

Open Hours
6th to 9th grades: Tuesdays 7-9pm (Sept. to May)
10th grade to age 20: Thursdays 7-9pm (sept. to May)

There is no cost to come to the Center or to take part in any activities during Open Hours. There are soda and candy machines where items can be purchased for 50 cents each.

Nightly Activities

The upstairs part of our facility serves as a gym, designed for group sports and games, including basketball, soccer, and volleyball. Players are expected to follow the direction of the staff and upstairs referee. We ask that youth wear sneakers with non-marking soles.

Downstairs, youth can shoot pool, play ping-pong, engage in board games, or simply hang out with friends while lounging around on our couches. We occasionally sponsor contests and tournaments, and host special events.

We on occasion hold contest and tournaments both upstairs and downstairs.

Facility Rentals

We also make the Center available for outside use. Rentals are scheduled as available for purposes fitting with our purposes. Birthday parties are a popular use. Please call the director, Mark Hager, at 610-845-7849 for more information and costs.

Staff

Our staff consists of several adult volunteers, committed to the youth who attend the Center. We strive to create an environment where youth feel comfortable, while creating meaningful relationships and having fun.
